Long Days in the Office?

Computer glasses may be just the thing you need.

How many hours are you spending in front of a digital screen? Computers and other digital devices are becoming more and more integral to our daily lives -- both professionally, and privately. Studies suggest that 60% of people spend more than 6 hours a day in front of a digital device. Spending just two consecutive hours on a digital device can cause eyestrain and fatigue -- because of the blue light.

What is blue light?

Blue light is a color in the "visible light spectrum" that can be seen by the human eye. It has a very short wavelength, which produces a higher amount of energy than the other. Studies suggest that, over time, exposure to the blue end of the light spectrum could cause serious long-term damage to your eyes. (image via blue light exposed)

Do I need computer glasses?

Prolonged exposure to blue light, especially at night, can definitely have some detrimental effects on your health and vision, but don’t go running to get your blue light blocking lenses just quite yet! Early symptoms of eyestrain are among the following:

  • Eye Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Neck/Back Pain
  • Sensitivity to Light
  • Red/Dry Eyes (possibly with a burning/stinging sensation)

An eye examination may also reveal whether you need special glasses for computers or not.

At the workplace.

Most people these days are now exposed to more blue light than ever before, due to modern light sources such as LED lighting and the radiation emitted by computer screens. Some people find this blue light irritating or strenuous. The answer to this problem could well be lenses that block blue light. Unlike the traditionally yellow tinted lenses, Lensabl’s computer lenses come in a sleek, clear finish, with a blue filter that attenuates blue light.

Beyond the workplace.

Beyond being handy at the workplace, computer glasses may well be exactly what you need for your favorite hobby, or any other activities you may happen to engage in. They are ideal for any task which you perform at close range, or at near to intermediate distances, such as (but not limited to) -- reading, watching TV, cooking, surfing, or playing a musical instrument!

Everything you need, standard.

Like all Lensabl lenses, our computer lenses come standard with all the features and coatings you’re used to (anti glare, anti reflective). But unlike most other places, there’s no extra cost for these features and coatings. We work hard to make sure you get the clarity you deserve, at a price you can afford.
